A black domed pottery jar with a spider design by San Ildefonso Pueblo artist Tahn-Moo-Whe, also known as Barbara Gonzales (b. 1947). This slip-design polychrome jar with incised web, includes turquoise and coral inlay. This artist considers her spider web design a symbol of ‘good luck.’ She began her spider designs on black pottery back in 1973 and is known for these designs. Signed ‘Tahn-Moo-Whe’ to the base.
