Vintage Neoclassical Mahogany Writing Desk

Item Details

A vintage neoclassical style mahogany bow front writing table. The piece features a built in hutch with raised, pierced metal guard and four small drawers with cross banded borders and a central green leather insert. A rectangular top with a bowed center includes an inset leather writing surface with gilded embossed border. Three conforming drawers feature dovetail joinery and cross banded borders with brass bail pulls. The desk sits on tapered legs with caster wheels. No discernible maker’s mark.
