Antique Louis XV Style Mahogany Veneer Armoire

Item Details

An antique Louis XV style armoire. This grand piece is constructed from walnut and oak with mahogany veneers, and it features a carved ornament on its domed top over beveled mirrors on the tall double doors opening to a spacious compartment. There are also two hand dovetailed drawers at base, and both doors and drawers have brass hardware. At the base is also a serpentine apron flanked by carved cabriole front feet.

Condition

Consistent with age; minor marks to finish; minor chips to veneer on doors; some cracks to sides; left side slightly warped near base; right door and drawers shut with some difficulty; the skeleton key included does not appear to work with lock
