Vintage Russel Wright "American Modern" Tableware for Steubenville
Item Details
A grouping of vintage Russel Wright tableware. Included are three American Modern orange dishes, three pink pieces, and two blue pieces of tableware. The American Modern pattern was introduced in 1939 by designer Russel Wright as part of the Good Design movement, which made well-crafted goods available at affordable consumer price points. The orange pieces are marked ‘Russel Wright Mfg. by Steubenville’, the pink pieces are marked ‘Mary + Russel Wright by Sovereign Potters’, and the blue pieces have faint or rubbed marks.
