A blackware pottery pot by Santa Clara Pueblo artist Stella Chavarria (b. 1939). Hand coiled, this pot features a deeply carved design and polished design, with a tapered base. Signed ‘Stella Chavarria, Santa Clara’ to the base. Chavarria is the daughter of Teresita Naranjo, a famed Santa Clara potter.
