Vintage Chippendale Style Open Armchair

Item Details

A vintage Chippendale style open armchair. The wooden, mahogany-stained frame features a shaped, acanthus-molded crest above a pierced, vasiform splat. The open, scrolled arms continue to a trapezoidal, slip seat in brown, foliate-patterned fabric. The chair rises on Marlborough, front legs joined to the raking, back legs by an H-stretcher. There are no maker’s marks.

Condition
