A sterling silver vanity set and additional decorative items. This five-piece assortment features; a Manchester Manufacturing Company small nut dish marked ‘Sterling’ and ‘0398’ with hallmark circa 1904 – 1914; a Meriden Brittania Company basket, marked ‘Sterling’ and ‘1664 1/2 / 4,’ featuring floral medallions to the rim with pierced bands, a bail handle and four feet; a tall, narrow vase with wide rim, marked ‘Sterling,’ ‘7030,’ and ‘10’ to the bottom and monogrammed in script ‘F. M. B.’ to the wall; and a matching brush and handheld mirror set monogrammed in script ‘H’ to the verso, mirror is marked ‘Sterling’ to the handle. The total approximate weight, excluding the handheld brush and mirror set, is 16.825 ozt.
Condition
- tarnish, scratching, minor marks and wear throughout.
- overall fair condition. Mirror features some residue and scratching; would benefit from cleaning. Tall vase has significant denting, creasing, and warping throughout.
