An antique hand-carved wooden trencher, circa 19th century. The rectangular frame features a flat rim surrounding a hand-hewn, oblong bowl with a rounded bottom.

- scattered surface wear and imperfections as would be expected; interior has darkened from use; some former pest damage (worming); one end with a crack, which has been reinforced with an oxidized, metal wire; other end with a small hole, possibly used for hanging.
