A vintage English Queen Anne style buffet table. This elegant walnut buffet features a shaped top with book-matched burl walnut veneer and crossbanded surface with molded and carved edges, as well as a back rail with a carved shell and acanthus leaves. Below are two stacked drawers with hand-cut dovetail joints, burl walnut veneered, crossbanded, and cockbeaded fronts, key holes, brass lion’s head plates with ring pulls, and felt-lined interiors. The drawers are flanked by cabinet doors with burl walnut veneered, crossbanded, and cockbeaded fronts, key holes, and brass lion’s head plates with ring pulls. The piece stands on cabriole legs with carved knees and pad feet joined by an apron with carved medallion. There are no visible maker’s marks.
