A wool work tapestry of three holy women at Christ’s tomb by Ann Wood. Loosely based off Annibale Carracci’s 16th-century Baroque painting, this work features a classical Biblical scene of an angel presenting the empty tomb to Mary Magdalene, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary the wife of Zebedee, portrayed with rich colors. The artist’s name is woven into the tapestry to the lower right. It is presented under glass in a brown wood frame with a gold-tone sight edge.

- faint stains scattered throughout tapestry, especially visible to upper left area; bare needlepoint canvas revealed along edges of visible composition; minor scratches and stains scattered throughout frame.
