An original acrylic painting on canvas titled Water Lilies by contemporary Cincinnati-based artist Lisa Schafer (21st century). The colorful abstract painting features small areas of bright hues peaking out from an amorphous field of white and pale blue. Several gestural black lines provide contrast within the composition. The work is signed in black to the lower right, and the title and medium are written to the verso. This stretched canvas is presented unframed.

Lisa Schafer received an undergraduate degree in Architectural Engineering and a Master’s in Digital Design from the University of Cincinnati’s School of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning (DAAP). Schafer’s work is represented in galleries across the United States including the Argosy Gallery in Bar Harbor, Maine and the Gallery Veronique in Montgomery, Ohio. Her work is housed in private and corporate collections including the Muska and Lipman Publishing Company and The Greater Cincinnati Foundation.
