Vintage Moore & Dorsey Apple Crate and Large Wooden Sieve
Item Details
A vintage wooden apple crate and a hoop sieve. The crate was made by the Clearbrook Box Co. for Moore & Dorsey, founded in 1929 in the northern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. For many years it was operated as a producer, packer, and shipper of apples. The family business continues today as a nursery supplier. The circular sieve has a wire screen bottom for sifting and winnowing.
Condition
Crate is in good condition. Sieve is slightly damaged on outside of hoop.
