Item Details
A Money Barrel sterling silver coin bank by Wm B. Kerr & Co. of Newark, NJ (active 1890-1927). This piece has a barrel shape well with a slotted top and an engraved exterior, featuring simulated slats, vignettes of children and a king around the center, and the words ‘Money Barrel’ and ‘The time to save is in the morning of life.’ along the front. The undersides is marked with the ax and ‘x’ maker’s mark above ‘Sterling 5311’. The approximate weight is 2.230 ozt.
