An antique illustrated edition of The Holy Bible. This book features numerous illustrations throughout and is additionally marked to the title page as a self-pronouncing edition and, ‘Containing the King James and the Revised Version of the Old and New Testaments’. The book was published by R.A. Dinsmore of Washington, D.C. in the 1880s. It is presented in a leather bound embossed cover, with illustrated vignettes, gilt detail work, raised bands to the spine, and two metal clasps to the edge.

- leather shows red rot and peeling; edge wear; worn and shaken spine; torn hinges; page toning and foxing; spot staining; written markings to some pages; tarnishing to metal clasps.
