19th Century Cased Daguerreotypes

Item Details

A pair of 19th century cased daguerreotypes. The images include one of an infant with large dark eyes, the second of a young girl with bobbed hair, dressed in a short sleeved dress with necklace. The daguerreotypes are framed in embossed brass mat with red velvet piping, scrollwork designs to the opposite side of the hinged frame, one in purple red, the other in a rich shade of red. The outside of the hinged cases is in an embossed dark brown gutta percha material and pressed leather material.
