An assortment of circa 1800 – 1900s sterling silver, coin silver, and silver plate flatware. The group consists of seventy pieces of sterling silver flatware including markings and hallmarks for silversmiths such as “Alvin,” “R. Wallace,” “Unger Brothers,” ‘Whiting,’ ‘Gorham,’ and “Reed & Barton.’ The Alvin Manufacturing Company, 1903 pattern, Bridal Rose pieces include eight dinner knives, one carving knife, one carving fork, one and one honing steel, all with hollow sterling handles. Includes three serving spoons by Reed & Barton, one Whiting Division Lily monogrammed blunt thin hollow knife with bolster, one Whiting Division Lily monogrammed fork, one Unger Brothers Loves Dream fork, one Unger Brothers Loves Dream blunt blade with bolster knife, one Gorham teaspoon, two R. Wallace & Sons teaspoons, one pair of R. Wallace & Sons tongs, one R. Wallace & Sons Irving monogrammed teaspoon, two teaspoons, one serving spoon, one serving fork, six R. Wallace & Sons Eton cocktail forks, four R. Wallace & Sons Carthage monogrammed teaspoons, nine Gorham Etruscan teaspoons, six monogrammed Lily pattern cocktail forks, one Reed & Barton serving fork, and one blunt thin flat handle knife. Additionally, there is one F.A. Bunnell & Company coin silver, circa 1850s, butter spreading knife, and five Derby Silver Company, circa 1870 pattern, Medallion twisted handle teaspoons in plated silver. The assortment is presented in a Naken’s ‘tarnish proof’ wooden flatware chest with blue felt-like interior lining.

The total approximate weight of sterling items, excluding all dinner knives and the Alvin Manufacturing Company hollow handle pieces, is 54.441 ozt. The F. A. Bunnell coin silver piece weighs approximately 0.860 ozt.
