An antique American Rococo Revival butternut dresser. This mid 19th century dresser has a cartouche shaped mirror in a moulded wishbone frame set into a turned semi spherical base on the dresser top, set between a pair of locking handkerchief boxes, the drawer fronts with recessed panels with a raised horizontal molding and the chamfered corners decorated with applied split turnings; all over the case of the three drawer chest, with chamfered corners each with three applied and turned split columns, with each of the locking drawers having an inset, raised and shaped horizontal panel with two foliate carved pulls, allover the scrolled skirt set between the two rounded feet. No key. No apparent maker’s mark.
