An original mixed media Cubist still life painting on canvas by an artist named C. Ryan. Little is known about this artist, but their signature appears on many similar Cubist pieces. The painting depicts a figure seated at a table covered in vases of flowers and a plate of fruit. The image is abstracted into bright fields of color delineated with black and white linework. Tissue paper has been applied across the canvas to add texture, and the piece was primarily created using acrylic paint and spray paints. The painting is signed in silver ink to the lower right. It is presented in a wooden frame with black acrylic facing, white linen lining with a silver tone fillet, and a hanging wire attached to the verso.
