A signed original landscape oil on canvas titled Ogden Slip by listed Illinois artist C.H. Cooke (American, 1859 – 1942) The 1928 painting a waterway with steamer to the left background, and to the right warehouse buildings in shades of red orange, ocher and burnt orange. To the distant left are tall warehouse buildings. The painting is rendered in a flat expressionistic style. The work is signed and dated to the lower right and displayed in a gilded wood frame. good to fair, puncture to center of painting, painting antique, needs a light cleaning, minor wear to frame
