Vintage Universal Record/Stereo Cabinet and Records

Item Details

A vintage Universal stereo console with two front faux drawers and lower speakers with cloth grilles. The unit’s left top side opens on hinges to a record player with four speed settings, and the right top side opens to a stereo. A metal tag attached to the back of the cabinet reads ‘The Voice of Music’, and a tag attached its wooden frame reads ‘Cabinet by Universal, Moulded Products Corporation, Bristol, VA.’ Included are more than eighty 78 rpm records, and nine 45 rpm singles; most, Big Band and Swing music.

- scuffs and wear to wooden cabinet; refer to photos for detail. Wear to record sleeves. All untested.
