Ansonia Art Nouveau Spelter Figural Clock

An Ansonia Art Nouveau spelter figural clock. The clock is set in a figural frame displaying a woman sitting beneath a trellis of roses and vines as she cups a hand to her ears and leans on the clock. The clock has a brass bezel and glass cover over a white enamel face with black Roman numerals and hands and is set in a tree motif. Other features of the clock include a rectangular base displaying tree roots and scrolled brass feet and a key for winding. The clock’s face is marked ‘Manufactured by Ansonia Clock Co. U.S.A’. The key is labeled ‘Schatz’ and is not original.

Condition

- clock spins in housing if key is used, scratches and wear to verso.
