Signed 1853 Handwoven Wool Coverlet

Item Details

A signed 1853 handwoven wool coverlet. The coverlet was made by John Graham in 1853 in Morris Township, Knox County, Ohio. The coverlet has a dark cream background, with alternating floral bands in cream and navy and olive green and tomato red, with a scrolling vine and berry motif to the outside and a fringed border. The coverlet is signed and dated in a signature block.
