A Japanese red lacquered cabinet. This black iron fitted cabinet has two doors on the front with an elaborate round pierced iron lock plate featuring two lotus pods and two lotus blooms, the doors each having three black iron swallow tail hinges, the corners fitted with braces and the ends fitted with with double hook handles on butterfly plates; with the interior fitted with one drawer with two double hook handles and plates, two storage spaces and four large pigeon holes; the entire cabinet on a raised plinth around the base.
