A set of four offset lithographs after German artist Maria Innocentia Hummel, born Berta Hummel (1909-1946). This set of prints depict children in traditional Bavarian clothing in various scenes. The prints depict a boy and girl huddled under an umbrella in the rain, a boy with an umbrella folded under his arm and a basket of flowers on his back, a girl sitting with a lamb and waving her handkerchief in the air, and a group of three schoolboys huddled over a math problem on a slate. All are signed in plate and presented behind mats and glass in gold tone frames marked ‘Made in Germany’ to the versos with triangle hooks for hanging.

Condition

- some discoloration to prints and mats.
