Antique Burslem Porcelain Biscuit Barrel with Sheffield Silver Plate Mount
Item Details
An antique Burslem Doulton earthenware biscuit barrel circa 1891-1902. This cookie container has a rounded cylindrical shape to it’s earthenware body with a silver plate trim. The body has a glossy finish with a whimsical gold tone tree motif on it’s blue background. Marked to the underside of it’s base with a crown maker’s mark, ‘Doulton’ ‘Burslem’, and ‘England’ with a Sheffield silver plate mount.
Condition
- minor markings throughout; some surface markings and tarnishing to the silver plate mount.
