An antique American Rococo Revival walnut sofa. This finely moulded walnut sofa, upholstered in a tufted salmon velvet, has a elaborate foliate and rose carved crest in the center flanked by raised scrolled backs both of which have rose carved crests; with a carved and moulded skirt between the front legs which extend downward from the moulded hand rests to the scrolled feet of the cabriole legs, all on white porcelain castors. No apparent maker’s mark.
