An oil painting on board of a dock scene by listed American artist Howard Buck (20th Century), created in 1945. Portrayed with loose expressionistic brushstrokes and vibrant colors, this work features a dilapidated boat and a partially constructed dock in the foreground; a shelter and a sailboat are partially visible in the right middle-ground, and the sea extends into the distance. The painting is signed and dated to the lower right. It is presented in a bronze-tone gesso frame with an abstract decorative pattern and a gold-tone sight edge.
