Vintage Trench Art Vase

Item Details

A vintage trench art vase made from a 75mm shell casing. It has a rough hammered texture and embossed upper section with the word ‘Argonne’, with the bottom section manipulated and folded in and then flared out slightly to the base. The vase is marked ‘75 DE H. 647LM6 H.’ The art was made in WW1 and the Argonne battle was in September to November 1918.

Condition

- minor marks and scratches with some wear in the finish as well as some corrosion.
