Gorham Silver Plate Tea Service with Other Silver Plate Serveware
Item Details
An assortment of silver plate serveware. Featured are Gorham items including a pair of pierced pastry tongs in the Heritage pattern and a tea service comprising a footed serving tray, a footed creamer, and a footed sugar bowl with lid. The tea items are decorated with ornate shell-and-scroll designs throughout. Also included are a pair of English salt and pepper shakers featuring open lattice frames with pierced dome lids and cylindrical cobalt glass inserts, marked ‘UK Pat No. 2026499’ to the undersides. A pair of spoons are also present and contain hollow, reeded handles accented by beaded trim and ball finials. An elongated water pitcher with a double scroll handle in the Silver Iris pattern is also included by Wm Rogers.
