Hand-Knotted Persian Hamadan Wool Carpet Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan wool carpet runner. The rug has been worked in an abrash palette which includes shades of camel, indigo, Delft blue, chocolate, fawn, coral, salmon, and black. The field is populated by herati motifs edged with serrated bands. The guard borders have flower and vine meanders on an espresso ground while the unresolved primary borders feature lily motifs on a camel ground. The borders are overcast and there is short fringe at each end. The rug bears a tag on the reverse.
