Abrell Vintage Hand-Colored Photographic Triptych

Wooden Frame

A signed vintage triptych made of three corresponding hand-colored silver gelatin photographs. The photographs were taken by a member of the Abrell family who runs Abrell’s Photo Works in Greensburg, Indiana. It was likely taken by the studio’s founders, Charles ‘Jack’ Abrell or Katy Abrell. The photograph each depict the same group of young women in various poses. The photographs are matted in white, which is signed and noted ‘Greensburg, Ind.’ in ink to the lower right. They are presented behind glass in a wooden frame with gold tone finish and a hanging wire attached to the verso.

Condition

- matting is yellowed with age. A sticker is attached to the glass’s face. Light wear and scratching to frame.
