Fratino Tavolo Dining Table and Twelve Chairs from Vere Antichita

Item Details

A Fratino Tavolo walnut dining table and twelve oak chairs. The table features a rectangular walnut veneered top with banded edges resting on a serpentine trestle base joined by a center rail embellished with a supporting cast metal arch with scrolled ends. The accompanying oak chairs feature curved top rails over two matching splats between angled stiles and a custom-made, upholstered seat cushion. The seat cushions follow the contour of the seat and are covered in a soft, mottled grey fabric with matched piping. The chairs rise on splayed, serpentine-shaped legs joined by H-stretchers. The table includes an extra leaf stored in felt bag labeled ‘Vere Antichita Italia.’ The chairs have not discernible maker’s mark.
