Vintage German Hand Carved Wood Notice Board

Item Details

A vintage German hand carved wood notice board. The carved wood case features a pair of pheasants standing on a log to the top and a serpentine carving of oak leaves and branches to the bottom. The brass hinged doors of the case are decorated with a diamond and cross pattern and open to reveal four notice boards with glass panes. The piece has two metal rings attached to the verso and is not signed.

Condition

- some dents and scratches to the wood; the back of the case has a split in one of the wood panels.
