A handwoven Persian Yazd Golbaf area rug. This woven textile features a color scheme of vibrant green, cobalt blue, white and burgundy. The field is densely patterned with curvilinear vines, palmettes, and floral sprays. It is framed by_herati_, carnation meander and grid borders. It is signed ‘Golbaf- Yazd’ along the edge of the rug. It has maroon fringe to either end.
