A 19th century hand-woven alpaca throw. Featured is a cream colored alpaca throw embellished with black and white hand woven scenes of a male figure and alpacas. The stitched seam running down the middle is indicative of many 19th century examples, where two pieces of fabric were joined. The blanket is finished with fringe on two sides, and does not have a visible maker’s mark.

- slight spotting and discoloration throughout; torn seam down the middle.
