Handwoven Turkish Kilim Wool Area Rug

A handwoven Turkish kilim wool area rug. The rug has been worked in shades of coffee, sage, ivory, denim, camel, dove gray, and brick. The center field features a pattern of stacked arches with comb pattern edges and hooked motifs in alternating color combinations. The border is filled with a series of hexagons infilled with stepped devices. The edges are overcast and there is ornate knotted fringe at each end. Unmarked.
