An offset lithograph reproduction on paper after well-listed French Impressionist Pierre Auguste Renoir (1841 – 1919), titled Dance at Bougival. This work, after an original oil painting now housed in the permanent collection at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, depicts a couple dancing in the foreground, the woman in a full white dress with a red hat and the man in a dark suit with a straw hat, and a group of revelers in the background. The piece is signed and dated 1883 in plate to the lower right. It is presented behind a white mat with a dark blue liner, behind glass, in a black wooden frame with a hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- scuffs to frame; damage to backing paper.
