An oil painting on canvas of a flower bed that appears to be signed ‘Nance’. This painting, rendered with expressive brushstrokes depicts a plant with red blossoms in a wooden flower bed, situated against a darkened, textural background. It is signed faintly to the lower right corner. The painting is presented unframed and without hanging wire. It is inscribed ‘Nance’ by hand to the verso.

- tears to canvas at upper left and right; craquelure; dent to canvas at lower left; surface abrasions and areas of paint loss; edge and corner wear; edges of canvas are lifting; some water damage to the verso.
