A collection of Alan Eckert Books. These four books by Alan Eckert provide a ‘narrative biography’ for the early history and conditions of the frontier settlement and frontier wars in Ohio, Kentucky, New York, Pennsylvania and Michigan. The books in this collection are, ‘The Forntiersman,’ ‘The Conquerors,’ ‘The Wilderness War,’ and ‘That Dark and bloody River’ published in 1967, 1970, 1978 and 1995 respectively. Alan Exckert is best known his Emmy award winning writing for Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom and for being the playwright of the outdoor drama entitled, ‘Tecumseh;’ performed in Chillicothe, Ohio.
