A hand-knotted Pakistani Bokhara accent rug. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of scarlet, burgundy, peach, ivory, black, and slate blue. It begins with a vertical strip of Chemche-style guls flanked by two vertical rows of Tekke-style medallions, over a scarlet field. Framing the field are three wraparound geometric borders, including a main border featuring boxed starburst motifs. Two horizontal panels, one at the top, one at the bottom, each feature a diamond-lattice pattern. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with ivory cotton warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
