A vintage reproduction woodblock print on mica coated paper titled The Fickle Type after the original 1791 print by listed Japanese artist Kitagawa Utamaro (1753 – 1806). This image, from a recarved block, is from the series Ten Physiognomical Studies of Women. It depicts a Geisha, wearing an elaborately printed kimono and exposing her breast. Presented behind a black mat with a pale gray liner, under glass in a simple black frame. It is ready to hang with a wire. Included is the original paperboard portfolio and a printed brochure about the artist and series.
