Item Details

An antique George III oak longcase clock by William Watson, late 18th century. The oak hood features a broken scroll pediment with brass finials, side columns with brass caps flanking a glass front door that displays brass face with etched floral designs, day of month dial, seconds dial and minute hands with roman numerals and two key holes. The face is signed by William Watson, Blackburn circa 1770 – 1814. The clock base features rounded stiles, pendulum and weights with chains and a plinth style base with bracket feet.
