A hand knotted Kurdish Herati carpet runner. This handmade carpet runner is woven of wool and has a velvety, plush pile. Featuring a palette of scarlet, sapphire, charcoal, peach, and ivory. It features a repeating Herati pattern incorporating outward curving fish on the ends. The field is enclosed by a compound resolved border that features a floral pattern of palmettes and floral blossoms. There are geometric patterned bands at each end outside the border. Each end features cotton warp fringe.
