Hand-Knotted Isfahan Wool Area Rug

Item Details

A hand-knotted Isfahan wool area rug. This rug is attributed to Pakistani weavers and rendered in a palette of ivory, indigo, cranberry, pale rose, powder blue, and ochre. The ivory colored field begins with a central floral motif surrounded with star shaped flowers, as well as an all-over stylized herati pattern. Framing the ornate field is a main herati border with floral meander guard borders. Finishing the rug are overcast selvedges and a natural warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
