Hand-Painted Cigar Humidor Chest-on-Stand

A hand-painted cigar humidor chest-on-stand. This humidor features an arched leather covered lid, decorated with an image depicting pink and yellow flowers and finished with oversize nail head trim accents. The front and back sides of the rectangular box features carvings of three arched, Gothic style windows, separated by baluster style columns with a scenic landscape in the center panel and figures of robed men in the side panels. Acanthus and gadrooned carvings on the trim where the lid meets the box, and to either side of the windows, further embellishes the piece. The chest is affixed to a table base with fluted tapered legs, ending in onion feet attached to an H-brace. Inside, the chest holds a lidded humidor box.
