Antique Majolica Plates Including Schramberg
Item Details
A collection of six antique majolica plates. Included in this group are a variety of Victorian majolica plates in a palette of blue, green and gold, featuring complimentary floral and foliate designs. Two identical plates are from Schramberg and boast large radiating green leaves to the well with a scalloped basket weave design to the rim on a turquoise blue ground. They are marked to the underside ‘Schramberg 7.’ The remainder of the plates are not identified.
Condition
- faint surface marks present throughout; crazing; adhesive residue to undersides of some plates.
