Empire Style Mahogany Demilune Sideboard

Item Details

An antique Empire style, mahogany demilune sideboard, circa 19th century. It has a semicircular top over a center drawer and shelved cabinet, which jut out and are flanked by rounded side drawers and galleried, open shelving. The centered dovetailed drawer has a recessed, book matched veneered panel with a brass, swag handle. The mirrored cabinet door is flanked by ribbed stiles topped with brass wheat mounts. The veneered side drawers are fitted with brass knobs decorated by a seated figure. The side drawers are flanked by lion head ring mounts. The piece rises on a plinth base.
