An oil painting on canvas board titled On the Beach by listed artist Edward Norton Ward (born 1928). This painting is rendered with swift, loose brushstrokes and features a harbor scene. The painting depicts a docked white boat in the foreground and a boathouse in the background. It is signed by hand to the lower left margin and dated ‘Dec 19, 1979’ to the verso. The painting is presented in a gold tone wooden frame with a white fabric liner and a metal hanging wire to the verso. Affixed to the verso is a hand inscribed exhibition label from Carmel Art Association.

- some marks and discoloration to fabric liner; nicks and scuff marks to frame; some discoloration to the verso.
