A hand-knotted Indo-Persian Bakhshayesh Heriz wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of crimson, ivory, indigo, powder blue, emerald, and mauve. The crenelated crimson colored field features four large star pendant medallions along with flowering and palmette vines, as well as ivory colored spandrels. Framing the field is a main samovar patterned border with a chained guard border. Finishing the rug are overcast selvedges and a natural warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
