Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Tabriz wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, violet, ivory, sage, teal, ochre, rose, sky blue, indigo, and wine. The bright cranberry colored field features an ornate star pendant medallion along with an equally ornate all-over herati pattern with added palmettes and flower sprays. Framing the field is also a herati patterned main border over violet, with flowering meander guard borders. Finishing the rug are overcast selvedges and a short natural warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
